Security Coordinator at the Swedish Migration Agency

Do you want to contribute to strengthening security in one of Sweden's most socially important authorities? At the Security Department of the Swedish Migration Agency, you will play a central role in driving and coordinating the work with operational and security protection close to the operational activities.

The Security Department of the Swedish Migration Agency is part of the head office and has overall responsibility for security and preparedness within the authority. Specialists in information security, physical security, personnel security, crisis preparedness and civil defense, internal investigations, employee protection, and other security issues work at the Security Department, covering everything from operational protection to security protection.

Main Responsibilities

As a security coordinator, you will work in the department's unit for preparedness and security coordination. In your role, you will work across the entire department's area of responsibility directed towards part of the authority's operational activities. The focus is on security issues within the areas of operational protection and security protection. In your role, you will work to anchor the leadership and direction of the Security Department within the operational activities. This is done in a structured and systematic manner. You will conduct needs analyses, action plans, risk and impact assessments, and collaborate both internally and externally. You will also provide support to managers and management groups and serve as a gateway to the Security Department.

The assignment also includes coordinating the Security Department's tasks. This means that you need to act as a hub between different areas of expertise or responsibility to compile information or gain momentum in a task. This requires self-leadership as well as leadership towards other stakeholders.

You will work closely with other security and preparedness coordinators. Together, you will work for alignment and ensure that the department's coordinating and supporting tasks are in sync.

The position includes regular business trips, and standby duty may be required.

Who are you?

You are a structured and systematic person with good communication skills. You have a strong ability to convey your message in both speech and writing and can easily build relationships both within and outside the department. You are adaptable and work without prestige while having a good ability to work independently.

In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on good judgment and a high level of security and confidentiality awareness.

We are looking for someone who has

• A university degree with a focus on security or risk and crisis management, or other education combined with relevant experience for the position
• Experience in security work at a strategic and/or tactical level or equivalent experience that is assessed as comparable
• Experience in security protection work such as security protection analysis and security protection plans
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing
• Swedish citizenship

It is advantageous if you have

• Knowledge of and/or experience in project or assignment management, particularly in the area of physical/technical security
• Experience in investigative work and security clearance interviews
• Experience in using and interpreting standards/norms and regulations in advising, requirement setting, or auditing
• Experience in working within public operations

Information

Employment type: Permanent with an initial 6-month probationary period
Working hours: Office hours or flexible working hours. Standby duty may be required
Location: Norrköping or Stockholm. The job involves travel throughout the country
Individual salary setting applies within a salary range of 55,000 – 60,000 SEK per month.
Start date: By agreement

Security clearance with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will be conducted. Based on this, there is a requirement for Swedish citizenship. Employment is contingent upon a successful security clearance.
